This exceptional large continental pine table represents a rare find in the antique furniture market, dating to approximately 1890 and showcasing the superior craftsmanship of 19th-century European furniture makers. The impressive six-leg construction demonstrates the substantial build quality that allowed this table to serve faithfully in a large kitchen before finding new purpose in a flower shop, where its generous surface area proved equally valuable.
The natural aging process has created beautiful patina and character marks that tell the story of over a century of continuous use. While the tabletop shows honest wear consistent with its age and working history, the fundamental structure remains sound and ready for restoration or use as-is for those who appreciate authentic vintage character. Tables of this size and provenance are increasingly rare in today's market, making this piece an exceptional investment for collectors or anyone seeking a truly substantial centrepiece with genuine historical significance.
