Our Story

For more than 25 years, Peppermill Interiors has been at the forefront of designing distinctive furniture that transforms both homes and businesses.

Industrial creativity has always been the passion of Peppermill Interiors.

At the heart of Staffordshire, an idea was born at the dinner table which unlocked the idea of Peppermill Antiques Ltd. Scott and Fiona Humphreys, the founders of Peppermill, began to source and sell antiques across the UK over 25 years ago.

Peppermill Interiors has entered a new era, with a new generation, and a strive to stand out from the crowd. As the business and product lines evolve, alongside new ideas, Peppermill Interiors continues to grow, solidifying its name as the home of unique furniture.

1997

Born from a passion for antiques.

Peppermill Interiors was born in 1997 when Scott and Fiona Humphreys started selling antique furniture from their home at Stonnall House Farm. Having been brought up in a business-minded household – with a soft spot for furniture that told a story – they diligently attended antique fairs, house clearances, and auctions to source the highest quality pieces. They launched Peppermill Antiques, as it was known then, to sell their one-of-a-kind finds.

2005

A modern business model for vintage design.

As the demand for vintage furniture grew, Peppermill Antiques moved to Crestacre Farm. True antiques became harder to come by, so they carefully sourced traditional reproduction oak ranges from the Far East instead, which were an instant hit with domestic and commercial customers alike. In order to reach more customers, Peppermill Antiques became one of the first furniture companies to sell reproduction and vintage pieces on eBay.

2010

The new industrial revolution.

As the business continued to scale, Peppermill Antiques moved to Watling Street, which had more space for their reproduction furniture containers. The first website was launched just when industrial-style furniture became the latest interior trend for bars, restaurants, and commercial spaces. By sourcing a large number of products in this statement style, Peppermill Antiques quickly gained a following and became a leading name for commercial furniture, supplying large national chains, to smaller independent businesses.

2015 - Present Day

New name, same dedication to design.

In 2015, the business moved to the Burntwood showroom, warehouse and in-house workshop. The showroom is open to the public, where you can still discover all of the latest furniture styles in person today. The brand name changed to Peppermill Interiors to better represent the comprehensive range of reproduction and vintage furniture on offer, and the online store became the go-to place for quality, one-of-a-kind furniture for both homes and commercial businesses. In 2025, after over 20 years in the business, Scott and Fiona Humphreys, the founders of Peppermill Interiors have retired and Peppermill Interiors has now entered a new era. With John and Amanda Stamp leading the way, Peppermill Interiors continues to understand the importance of excellent customer service, high quality furniture and quick lead times and remains dedicated to its mission of providing some of the most unique and stylish reproduction furniture on the market.
