The unit has a pine base, which features a panelled back and several zinc-lined cupboards and drawers to the front. These compartments would have held trays of ice and would originally have been used to store and chill bottles.

The unit is topped with zinc, but you could fit a piece of marble to the top to give the kitchen island a new lease of life, or simply to fit in with your existing interior.

The beer taps are another unique feature of this piece and they can be connected or blanked off. The sink could also be restored, or you may wish to use it as an ice bucket for parties, etc.
