Simple Simon Design have designed a contemporary and bright interior for the famous pub chain Fuller, Smith & Turner. The restaurant’s interior design is brought to life with furniture purchased from Peppermill Interiors.
Nautical Interior Theme
With spectacular views across The Solent, it would have been a huge design mistake to neglect The Still & West’s breath-taking waterside position by not framing the views with carefully chosen furniture and including maritime elements into the modern interior design of the restaurant. The exposed brickwork painted dark blue, alongside raw rope dividers and antique nautical accessories; all perfectly suit the restaurant’s harbour location. Vintage accessories can undoubtedly transform an interior design, helping it to stand out from the crowd. Wooden Flooring for the Restaurant
The Still & West is situated in a Grade II listed building, but still has an open and airy feel. To keep in character with such a historic building, the interior designers selected Peppermill’s oak wooden flooring. Not only hard wearing, fitting to the nautical interior theme, it is also lovely to look at. Wooden flooring is a timeless and classic, waterproof flooring option. The Chevron Reclaimed Pine Flooring, from Peppermill Interiors, is ideal for commercial or domestic use. The flooring is also environmentally friendly as its made from recycled material and looks very close to original flooring.
Classic Seating Styles
To add further to the traditional maritime feel of The Still & West, classic seating styles have been sourced from Peppermill Interiors. The Battersea chair, is a 1950s/1960s school-style stackable chair. They feature simple plywood seats and powder coated, burnt iron, tubular steel frames. The Bentwood chair is also of traditional, wooden design. It has a rustic feel, made from solid oak and features a cross-back. A comfortable chair to seat on, it comes in a variety of colours and designs. Alongside these wooden chairs, are Peppermill’s Shoreditch Restaurant Café Chairs. Manufactured in the UK with an antique aged appearance, the chairs are made from premium quality leather and have a black steel frame. All these chair styles seamlessly work together to enhance The Still & West’s unique character.
